Collected Curios: Little Things That Delight & Inspire
Fill your cup! A few things that have given me a fresh creative jolt recently!
Good morning!
When I am in the throes of working hard, worrying hard, or being hardly motivated, I remind myself that new experiences, sights, sounds, and fresh takes fuel and spark the creative energy I rely on. I’m convinced these jolts can come from anywhere: in person, online, on paper, on screen, in nature, or anywhere else we stumble upon magic. I strive to embrace it all; be it a trending topic everyone is excited about, a relic that’s new to me, or a weathered stick with the perfect shade of green lichen! The key is always to observe and find the bits we can appreciate.
Here are a few things that have filled my cup recently:
The enchanting mineral illustrations of James Sowerby from the early 1800s, as featured in Public Domain Review. You can scroll through all 400+ pages of this gorgeous book!
